Tomato Pulav
Ingrediants :
1 cup rice (preferably zeeraga samba)
3 big tomatoes (in case of hybrid tomato you need amchur powder or tamarind juice)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 onion finely choped
1tsp cumin seed
1 cardamom
2-3 cloves
1 small stick cinamon
4-5 black pepper
1tsp red chilli powder
1 star anish (annachi poo)
Salt to taste
3-4 tbs ghee(you can use 2+2 oil and ghee)
coriander leaves for garnishing
Wash and soak rice in 2 cups of water and pressure cook and keep aside.
Grind tomato.
Heat oil and put cumin seeds, cardamom, cinamon stick, cloves, black pepper and star anish. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry.
Add chopped onion and fry.
Add chilli powder (always adding chilli powder to the oil will give rich red colour) and tomato puree.
Saute well till it becomes thick.
Add salt to taste.
Add 2 tbs ghee then mix rice to this paste well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
